Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Download PeppyFriends from the Google Play Store, enter your phone number, and verify with the OTP. You're signed up in under 60 seconds - no email required.
What information is needed for my profile?
A display name and profile photo. Everything else (bio, interests, languages) is optional but helps you get more engagement from other users and creators.
Is PeppyFriends free?
Yes - downloading and creating a profile is completely free. Coins are used for calls, which you recharge with your preferred payment method.
What countries is PeppyFriends available in?
PeppyFriends is currently available in India and supports 15+ languages including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Urdu, and more.
Calls & Live Streaming
How do audio and video calls work?
Calls are per-second billed in coins at the creator's set rate. You start a call from the creator's profile page - if they're available, the call connects instantly. Powered by Agora's enterprise-grade infrastructure.
What is Random Match?
Random Match instantly connects you with a matched user for a spontaneous audio call. Tap once from the home screen, and you're connected in under 3 seconds.
How do I watch a live stream?
Open the Discover tab and look for creators with a red LIVE badge. Tap to join - it's instant and free to watch. Drop comments and reactions to engage with the creator.
My call quality was poor - what should I do?
Ensure you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G). If the issue persists, restart the app and try again. Report persistent quality issues via Settings → Help → Call Issues.
Coins & Payments
What payment methods are supported?
We support Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking), PhonePe, Stripe (international cards), Cashfree, Google In-App Purchase, and Flutterwave. The methods available depend on your region.
My payment was deducted but coins were not added.
Wait 5 minutes for the transaction to settle. If coins still haven't appeared, go to Settings → Help → Payment Issues and submit a report. We resolve these within 24 hours.
Can I get a refund on coins?
Coins are generally non-refundable as consumed virtual goods, but we issue refunds for duplicate charges, failed deliveries, and unauthorised transactions. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by PCI DSS-certified third-party gateways. We never store your card number, CVV, or bank credentials on our servers.
VIP Membership
What does VIP membership include?
VIP gives you discounts on audio calls, video calls, and Random Match; bonus coins on every recharge; free daily messages; an exclusive VIP badge and profile frame.
How do I subscribe to VIP?
Open PeppyFriends → Your Profile → VIP Membership. Choose a plan (monthly, quarterly, or yearly) and complete payment. Benefits activate immediately.
How do I cancel my VIP subscription?
For Google Play subscriptions: Google Play → Subscriptions → PeppyFriends → Cancel. For direct subscriptions: Settings → VIP → Manage Subscription → Cancel. Benefits continue until the end of the billing period.
What happens when my VIP expires?
Your account returns to the standard tier. All regular features remain available. You can resubscribe at any time.
Creators
How do I become a creator?
Open PeppyFriends → Profile → Become a Creator. Fill in the application and submit your KYC documents (government ID + selfie). Review takes 24-48 hours.
How do creators earn?
Creators earn coins per minute on audio and video calls (at their set rate). Coin earnings convert to real money via withdrawals.
When and how can I withdraw my earnings?
Withdrawals are processed to your bank account or UPI. There is a minimum withdrawal threshold, and processing typically takes 3-5 business days. You can initiate a withdrawal from the Creator Dashboard anytime.
My creator application was rejected - why?
Common reasons include blurry or invalid ID documents, incomplete profile, or not meeting our minimum age requirement (18+). You can reapply after correcting the issue. Contact support@peppyfriends.com for specific feedback.
Safety & Account
How do I block someone?
Tap the three-dot menu on any profile or during a call and select "Block". Blocked users cannot call you, message you, or see your profile.
How do I report inappropriate behaviour?
Tap the flag icon on any profile, call, stream, or message to submit a report. Our moderation team reviews all reports - typically within 2 hours for safety reports.
How do I change my privacy settings?
Go to Settings → Privacy. You can control who can message you, who can call you, whether your online status is visible, and more.
I think my account was hacked.
Go to Settings → Security → Change Password immediately. If you can't access your account, contact support@peppyfriends.com with your registered phone number and details of the suspicious activity.
